Maureen Short is an experienced public company Board Director, Audit Committee Chair, CFO and Advisor with 30 years of leadership in retail, consumer, technology, fintech, entertainment and telecom businesses. She has expertise providing strategic oversight, guidance and advisory services to organizations executing transformations and navigating disruption. Maureen is known for her ability to ask insightful questions, challenge constructively, and collaborate driving alignment and long-term value creation. She is interested in joining a new corporate board.

Currently, Maureen serves as a CFO Advisor at Gartner (NYSE: IT), where she advises CFOs in developing and executing their vision, strategy, and key finance initiatives. She is a trusted advisor, offering strategic coaching, mentorship, and transformation support to CFOs that elevates performance and strengthens execution. Maureen served as independent Board Director at Big Lots (NYSE: BIG), a $4.7 billion retail/consumer company, where she was Audit Committee Chair leveraging her background as a certified financial expert and a certified Director with the NACD. Previously, Maureen served as CFO of Upbound Group (NASDAQ: UPBD), formerly Rent-A-Center (NASDAQ: RCII) and Acima, a $4 billion omni-channel platform company that provides technology-driven financial solutions. As CFO, she led the organization through a transformation, broadening its customer base and diversifying revenue streams resulting in doubling the business. Maureen navigated the organization through a period of significant change including activist investors joining the board causing significant C-suite and Board turnover, the potential sale of the company, and the successful turnaround of the business.
