Debra Dial is an experienced Fortune 100 public company Board Director, Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and Controller, former Big 4 public accountant, and Qualified Financial Expert. As an accomplished finance leader with a 25+ year career in executive roles at AT&T, Debra builds long-term shareholder value at the intersection of financial reporting and strategy by leveraging expertise in SEC/ESG reporting, M&A, audit, scale and complexity, cost transformation, cybersecurity, and risk management. From 2016 until her retirement in mid-2023, Debra served as AT&T’s CAO and Global Controller, leading financial planning and analysis with the responsibility of developing the long-term plan for $170B in revenue / $400B in assets, overseeing all accounting and SEC reporting functions, processing payroll for 160K employees, and administering supplier payment for the enterprise. In July 2023, Debra was appointed to the Board of Directors of Hubbell Inc. (NYSE), a manufacturer of utility and electrical solutions, where she serves on the Audit and Finance Committees.
Debra is a CPA with a BBA in accounting from the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC) and on its Steering Committee.
